Join Waldo County Soil & Water Conservation District and the Maine Forest Service for an interpretive walk through the PFAS Fund's Terrazza property in Palermo.

Maine Forest Service District Forester Allyssa will guide participants through the field and forest, offering forest management recommendations for the site. Waldo County Soil & Water Conservation District will provide a demonstration of their Conservation Landscape Certification checklist. Participants will learn about relevant practices, programs, cost-shares, and resources to help woodland owners accomplish their forest goals. This program will not specifically address management of the PFAS-impacted agricultural field.

This program is offered by the Maine Forest Service in partnership with Waldo County Soil & Water Conservation District and DACF's PFAS Fund.

Please note: Additional information about parkingwill be shared one week before the workshop." It is essential that you register. The site has uneven ground and is located off an unpaved road. Please come prepared with closed-toed shoes, long pants, and a bug repellent of your choice.
