Field & Science Assisting
We have lots of volunteer opportunities, from planting trees to assisting with events. Students may volunteer to gain experience for a conservation career or science learning. If you have expertise in our focus areas, we invite you to give a presentation to the public.
climate change adaptation - report a Tree
In addition, we are seeking help with our citizen science research program into potentially climate adaptive trees. We also collect data on trees that are threatened by pests or disease, such as hemlocks, beech, ash, elms and chestnuts. To participate, sign up for an account on Anecdata and join our project Report a Tree. If you have a smart phone, the Anecdata app allows you to add your reports in the field. Report on trees you are growing or find nearby.
